- Analyze and process complex veterinary claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure
- Conduct investigations and provide reports related to new claims and legal actions
- Negotiate claim settlements within designated authority levels
Monitor reserve adequacy and recommend settlement strategies to maximize outcomes - Coordinate legal defense and manage client communications regarding claim activities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Six (6) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice insurance principles and laws - Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
- Experience in negotiating and managing complex claims
- Familiarity with cost containment principles, including medical management practices
