As a Material Damage Field Appraiser
, you’ll review repair estimates for accuracy and craft original estimates. You negotiate with repair facilities for claim‐related repair costs, provide guidance to independent appraisers, and collaborate with the Claims team to address escalation and conduct virtual repair quality reviews. On‑site field inspections of damages are performed as needed, while much of the work is completed from a home office.
Location requirement: Residence in either Western Long Island, New York or Massachusetts is mandatory to enable frequent on‑site inspections throughout the assigned region.
What You’ll Do- Virtually review claim estimates and photographs for accuracy using CCC estimate review tools.
- Coordinate on‑site inspections as necessary.
- Negotiate with repair shops to agree on repair prices.
- Prepare estimates using CCC estimating software.
- Ensure all claim actions align with state insurance regulations.
- Communicate regularly with the Claims team regarding damage matters.
- Build relationships with classic and exotic repairers.
- Assist in ongoing material damage projects.
- Act as a liaison between adjusters and shops to streamline the claim experience.
- Attend team huddles to foster teamwork and training.
- Monitor NPS feedback.
- Detail oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong automotive technical knowledge and eager to continue training.
- Enthusiastic about the collector car hobby and automotive advancements.
- Able to establish rapport with mechanics and high‑end collector car owners.
- Effective interaction with repair shops.

- Minimum 5 years of claim experience or comparable shop work experience.
