Position: Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist (Remote - MN, SD, WI, PA, IA)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Receive, gather, and accurately transmit workers' compensation information from various stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve Workers' Compensation claims
  • Mediate situations between the insured and the insurance company, researching coverage issues as needed
  • Enter and maintain accurate information on a computer system during the claim process, including final settlement details
  • Participate in claim reviews and attend Risk Control Workshops as requested
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Active state-specific Workers' Compensation License required or ability to acquire within three months of hire
  • 2-4 years of claims experience with a strong background in Workers' Compensation coverage
  • Strong understanding and application of claims principles and insurance coverage interpretation
  • Willingness to obtain additional state-specific licenses during employment as needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Technical designations such as AIC and CPCU
  • Experience with claims handling in multiple states, including Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Iowa
  • Strong communication and mediation skills
