In this role, you will manage workers’ compensation claims from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with state laws and client-specific guidelines. You will handle both litigated and non-litigated claims, coordinate with legal professionals, and oversee medical and damage estimates. - Investigate, evaluate, and adjust Florida workers’ compensation claims in accordance with applicable laws and client-specific procedures.
- Manage litigated claims, collaborating with attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves and ensure accurate documentation of claims activity.
- Oversee medical, legal, and damage estimates to facilitate fair and timely claim resolution.
- Negotiate settlements in line with state regulations and client handling instructions.
- Coordinate subrogation claims and communicate with excess carriers as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and uphold professional standards in all interactions.
- 5–10 years of workers’ compensation claims handling experience in Florida.
- Licensed Florida Adjuster (required).
- Experience managing litigated claims; knowledge of behavioral health, hospital, or nursing home claims preferred.
- Designations such as AIC, ARM, or CPCU are a plus.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Competitive salary range: $60,000 – $84,500, dependent on experience and qualifications.
