Responsibilities:

• Design and administer commercial property/casualty insurance and self-insurance programs for the employer
• Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer, insurance brokers, and insurers to identify exposures and coverage needs
• Present risk management and insurance coverage interpretations to university leadership
• Lead risk and insurance efforts during potential acquisitions and advocate for favorable insurance requirements in contract reviews
• Ensure insurance program coverages align with contractual obligations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior commercial insurance or risk management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Thorough working knowledge of insurance policy forms, coverage, and underwriting practices

• Insurance designation(s) such as CPCU, ARM, AU, etc.
