Non-Attorney Represented Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster - PST/MST; Remote - National General
Job Description
National General Insurance is currently seeking an Experienced Bodily Injury Adjuster. The ideal candidate will have experience handling non-attorney represented bodily injury claims. Candidates should be located in the Pacific Time Zone in one of the following states:
California, Arizona, Nevada, or Oregon.
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
- Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage.
- For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome.
This job does not have supervisory duties.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience handling non-attorney bodily injury claims.
- Experience managing nonstandard auto insurance claims.
- Familiarity with California-specific claims handling practices and regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.
- Customer service orientation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills from a global case management and pending perspective (vs. transactional).
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills; ability to detect differences and issue recognition from multiple sources.
- Proficient in Word and Outlook.
Base compensation offered for this role is:
- Auto Analyst II: $47,500 - $61,600
- Auto Analyst III: $50,000 - $65,300
- Auto Consultant I: $50,000 - $74,120
- Auto Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500
- Auto Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $104,100
And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
