• Provide expertise for the placement of accounts with carrier partners and facilitate outbound marketing of select accounts
• Oversee a book of business within a geographical territory, placing profitable business
• Analyze submissions, make risk-based decisions, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
• Handle the new and renewal placement process, including negotiating with sales/service teams
• Assist agents and staff with carrier information and support in their sales efforts

• Must maintain current, active license(s) status through continuing education
• Demonstrated experience in account management and insurance placement for commercial and specialty personal lines
• Solid knowledge of underwriting concepts and servicing for excess/surplus coverages
• Experience with brokerage customer service and policy processing
• Proficient in using PC software applications (e.g., Internet Explorer, Outlook)

• Experience consulting with agents and understanding carrier appetites and market conditions
• Proven track record of placing profitable business and providing customer-oriented solutions
