- Assist with account underwriting, quoting, and binding for commercial auto insurance
- Process submissions and provide backup support for underwriters
- Generate and distribute various communications on behalf of underwriters, including declination letters and quote follow-ups
- Build relationships with producers under the supervision of senior underwriters
- Complete clerical and administrative duties as assigned to support the underwriting team
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related field preferred
- 0-2 years of experience as an associate underwriter, underwriter, or in a relevant insurance role
- Foundational knowledge of insurance principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or coursework related to auto insurance underwriting
- Strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly
- Experience in customer service or relationship management within the insurance industry
