Position: Subrogation Specialist - Medical Payments (Remote)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Manage incoming calls and handle a designated volume of arbitrations for Medical Payments and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims
  • Investigate and research losses to determine best practices for subrogation
  • Negotiate and conclude recovery settlements while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Handle disputed liability claims and out‑of‑state losses
  • Initiate and hear arbitration between companies on disputed liability and/or damage claims
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive claims liability experience
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Proficient analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Basic math and computer skills, including the ability to type 50 wpm
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with Medical Payments, PIP, and Bodily Injury claims
  • BA/BS in Business, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance requirements
  • General understanding of different lines of coverage (e.g., homeowners, auto, personal property)
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive company culture
