Position: Subrogation Specialist - Medical Payments (Remote)
Location: Columbia

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Handle an inventory of automotive damage, disputed liability, and cross-jurisdictional claims
  • Initiate and manage arbitration processes between companies on disputed claims
  • Negotiate and finalize recovery settlements while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle auto claims within assigned authority
  • Determine appropriate collection methods and file arbitrations as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive claims liability experience
  • General or advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance
  • Strong customer service and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with Medical Payments, PIP, or Bodily Injury claims
  • General understanding of various lines of coverage (e.g., homeowners, auto)
  • BA/BS in Business, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Active participation in company culture‑building activities or employee resource groups
