Position: Subrogation Specialist - Medical Payments (Remote)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Handle incoming calls and manage a designated volume of arbitrations related to Medical Payments and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims
  • Investigate and research losses to determine best practices for subrogation
  • Negotiate and settle recovery claims within established authority while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Initiate and hear arbitration cases between companies on disputed claims
  • Determine appropriate collection methods and file arbitrations as required
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of automotive claims liability experience
  • General knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Proficient analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in Medical Payments, PIP, or Bodily Injury claims
  • Advanced knowledge of Department of Insurance regulations and compliance requirements
  • BA/BS in Business, Insurance, or a related area, or equivalent experience
  • General understanding of different lines of coverage, such as homeowners and auto insurance
  • Demonstrated respect for diversity through effective communication with individuals from various backgrounds
