Senior Claims Specialist - OR & CA Workers

• Investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims with high potential exposure
• Analyze coverage, determine compensability, and establish reserves
• Negotiate settlements and prepare large loss reports for internal and external audiences
• Conduct meetings with insureds and claimants over the phone
• Collaborate with defense attorneys and other vendors such as medical case management

• Minimum of 10 to 13 years of Oregon and California workers' compensation claims adjusting experience with higher exposure claims
• Current license to adjust workers’ compensation claims in California
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts
• Industry designations such as Associate in Claims are strongly considered

• Experience with complex claims and a proactive approach to claims adjusting
• Proven track record of developing strategies to resolve claims efficiently
• Familiarity with Oregon and California workers' compensation laws
