Please note:
The REACH Program start date is July 2025. Early starts may occur based on business needs. This 24-month structured learning and development program will equip upcoming and recent graduates, as well as career changers, with the skills and knowledge to excel in the world of reinsurance broking and risk management. You will gain direct access to our Executive Team and a broad network of mentors, trainers, and colleagues.
All hours spent in training are hours worked and are paid competitively. This is a full-time role with a hybrid work schedule (in-office and remote days determined by location).
From natural catastrophes to cyber or political risks, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our clients assets and helping them navigate complex risks with confidence. By engaging in sophisticated analytics, you will provide valuable insights, innovative risk transfer strategies, and operational expertise to help clients maintain strong financial positions to cover claims for their policyholders when disasters strike. As a program participant, you will:
- Collaborate with clients at all levels of their organization, assisting in marketing, negotiation, placing, and servicing client accounts
- Craft persuasive pitch documents and presentations for both new and existing clients
- Analyze data in partnership with actuarial, catastrophe modeling, and financial advisory teams, providing valuable insights
- Contribute to the structuring, placing, and servicing of reinsurance transactions
- Work with contracts and support the finalization of reinsurance placements
In addition, you will participate in web-based and in-person seminars to expand your industry knowledge and work toward attaining your P&C (Property & Casualty) license within 12 months of your hire date and your ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) designation within 18 months of your hire date. As you gain experience, you will play a meaningful role in helping clients navigate challenges and find coverage solutions that align with their budgets and support clients during unexpected losses.

- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to build, refine, and transmit documents seamlessly
- Strong technological proficiency to use various software for efficient task completion
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients and colleagues
- Flexibility to travel to our home office in Rolling Meadows, IL, for training (travel expenses covered by Gallagher Re)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field
- Knowledge of or curiosity about the reinsurance broking and risk management industry
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end for this position and will be influenced by factors including experience, education, geography, complexity, skill set, lines of business, supply/demand, and hours.
