What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts to drive profitable growth
  • Apply technical, sales, and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions for risk management
  • Manage assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium and profitability goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with agents, negotiating and closing accounts aligned with business strategy
  • Utilize internal and external data to make informed risk decisions and manage a book of business
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-7+ years of Specialty or standard commercial lines experience
  • 3-4+ years’ experience in driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external business partners
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make sound business decisions based on level of authority
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with complex accounts and adapting quickly to change
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
  • Familiarity with underwriting concepts and risk management strategies
  • Knowledge of market factors affecting pricing and insurance performance measures
  • Proven track record in relationship management and producer activities
