Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role.
The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $95,000 - $140,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job OverviewThe P&C and Farm Pricing team plays a key role in supporting the achievement of all Commercial P&C and Farm financial goals at Wawanesa nationally. With a strong grasp of rate making concepts, the Actuarial Consultant/Senior Actuarial Consultant is responsible for applying actuarial and insurance expertise to develop property and liability rating plans, enhancing segmentation, uncovering and addressing complex business problems, and collaborating with our business partners to deliver strategic priorities.
Job Responsibilities- Researches, extracts, and manipulates complex data from relevant sources, and assesses data quality.
- Supports the business and overall team by performing analyses/reviews and completing ad-hoc requests/special projects in a timely manner with minimal support from peers and leaders.
- Leverages internal and external data and insights to design rate review approaches that enhance pricing sophistication.
- Leads projects from beginning to end, including documentation of the project and implementation of final product.
- Builds trust and credibility with peers. Develops strong working relationships across teams.
- Provides feedback, instruction, and development guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities.
