About Our Client
Our Client is a leading organization that executes financial transactions designed to use capital as a lever for advancing the energy transition across both traditional and emerging industries. As part of their continued expansion, they are growing their wholly owned insurance entities—operating as a managing general agent and/or insurance wholesaler—and are seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Commercial Underwriter to join their U.S. operations.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will support the underwriting and growth strategy of specialized commercial insurance programs. This role is ideal for a seasoned underwriting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite day-to-day commercial transactions across assigned specialty programs
- Coordinate underwriting, pricing, and loss control initiatives
- Refine existing insurance programs and enhance underwriting methodologies
- Implement and maintain underwriting guidelines, ensuring compliance and governance
- Support and strengthen broker relationships
- Assist with carrier and reinsurance partnerships
- Monitor program performance metrics and prepare reporting
- Drive profitable underwriting growth while maintaining risk discipline
- Lead or support special projects as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7–15+ years of experience underwriting commercial insurance programs in the United States
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
