Senior PI Underwriter- Home based- Ideally Midlands or North West

IPS Group are working closely with a fast growing MGA who have recently joined a well established Broking House. With the backing they are offering they are looking to make waves in the specialist MGA market. They are looking to hire a confident, commercially minded Senior PI Underwriter to help drive growth across a diverse commercial portfolio within their specialty division.

You'll combine sharp technical underwriting skills with strong trading instincts underwriting new and renewal business, shaping profitable terms, and strengthening the performance of your regional book.

This is a key role for the business where you will be able to make an impact and stand out. You'll be out in front of brokers, developing meaningful relationships, spotting new business opportunities, and expanding key accounts. You'll build tailored broker strategies, visit regional panels, and work closely with development teams to drive pipeline, cross?sell opportunities, and smarter market engagement.

The PI portfolio benefiting from a clear, disciplined underwriting strategy focused on sustainable growth, targeted sector appetite, and strong risk selection. This could include accountants, architects, engineers, surveyors, IT professionals, consultants, estate agents, designers and project managers. You'll play a key role in steering the PI offering: helping refine appetite, shaping broker messaging, and ensuring long?term portfolio health through smart pricing, robust terms, and informed cover structures.

As a senior member of the team, you'll also play a key role internally supporting colleagues with guidance and technical expertise, acting as a referral point for complex cases, and helping shape continuous improvement across the division. You'll stay close to market trends, analyse performance, and contribute directly to the team's strategic direction.
