This is an opportunity to join a specialist insurance provider that partners closely with organisations in the education and wider public sector. Known for its consultative approach, this business goes beyond traditional insurance — providing tailored risk management advice that directly influences underwriting, claims handling, and client resilience.
The RoleAs an Insurance Risk Surveyor, you will:
- Conduct on-site and desktop risk reviews, producing high-quality underwriting and health & safety reports with clear recommendations and analysis.

- Collaborate with internal teams to support new client acquisition, onboarding, and renewal processes.

- Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies, risk appetite, and technical guidance.
- Engage with sector bodies, keeping abreast of industry developments and sharing insights through technical bulletins and reports.
- Support broader projects, publications, and initiatives that strengthen client relationships and risk management practices.
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Proven experience surveying across all aspects of property, including business continuity, security, and health & safety.

- Confidence in working independently while also collaborating as part of a wider team.
- The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- A degree or relevant technical/insurance qualifications (desirable, not essential).
- Salary up to £100,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
- The chance to work with a mission-led insurer with a strong presence in the education and public sectors.
- An influential and varied role, where your input will shape client resilience, underwriting strategies, and risk appetite.
- Flexibility and autonomy in a home-based role, balanced with regular UK travel.
- Ongoing professional development and the opportunity to share expertise across national industry bodies.
