Under the supervision of the Director, the Account Manager plays a key role in managing commercial insurance files. The Account Manager is responsible for consistently delivering an exceptional client experience by handling renewals, new business, endorsements, certificates and other insurance documents. The Account Manager works closely with the Account Executive to maintain a high level of service for our clients.
Responsibilities Renewals- Manage the client renewal list according to deadlines and schedules.
- Respect renewal timelines while providing expert advice to ensure optimal solutions and conditions.
- Analyze and update renewal files, including insurance limits, coverages and underwriting information.
- Actively participate in remarketing accounts during renewals, gathering relevant information, proposals and questionnaires.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop placement strategies and review policy coverages, including submitting pricing and missing coverages.
- Quickly notify insurers of any changes.
- Prepare and send insurance certificates to clients.
- Strictly apply the firm’s receivables policy.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as required.
- Ensure client satisfaction by providing fast, courteous and personalized service while efficiently handling policy change requests.
- Provide clients with clear explanations regarding services, pricing and claims information related to their file.
- Contribute to identifying and analyzing client risks, while helping develop initiatives to improve efficiency and strengthen our market positioning.
- Prepare certificates and enter information into Policy Works.
- Prepare billing in accordance with company standards.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as required.
- Valid Commercial Damage Insurance Certificate issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
- Over 5 years of experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker.
- Knowledge of Applied EPIC, Microsoft Office Suite and Policy Works.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent and professional customer service.
- Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Strong negotiation and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with brokers, clients and insurers.
