As an SME Insurance Underwriter, you’ll work closely with broker partners to deliver insurance solutions that support the backbone of our economy—businesses providing everyday products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Analysing and underwriting new and existing business for SME clients.
• Building relationships with brokers and intermediaries through live chat, phone calls and our trading platform.
• Providing an outstanding service experience for both customers and stakeholders.
• Managing your own workload while supporting your colleagues to achieve team goals.
• Taking ownership for delivering quality, timely insurance solutions.
• Sharing your ideas for improvement—your feedback helps us work smarter and more efficiently.
• Adapting to change and thinking on your feet in a fast‑paced environment.

What we’re looking for:

• Knowledge or understanding of underwriting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in making decisions.
• A keen eye for detail and a willingness to challenge processes to improve outcomes.
• Flexibility to adapt your approach to different situations and workloads.
• Strong organisational skills— the ability to prioritise and keep the customer at the heart of everything you do.
• A team player who’s ready to learn, grow and support others.
