As an SME Insurance Underwriter, you’ll work closely with broker partners to deliver insurance solutions that support the backbone of our economy—businesses providing everyday products and services.

From day one, you’ll receive full training and ongoing support. Many of our employees work flexibly in a range of ways, including part‑time, flexible hours, job share, working from home and compressed hours.
Responsibilities:
- Analysing and underwriting new and existing business for SME clients.
- Building relationships with brokers and intermediaries through live chat, phone calls and our trading platform.
- Providing an outstanding service experience for both customers and stakeholders.
- Managing your own workload while supporting your colleagues to achieve team goals.
- Taking ownership for delivering quality, timely insurance solutions.
- Sharing your ideas for improvement—your feedback helps us work smarter and more efficiently.
- Adapting to change and thinking on your feet in a fast‑paced environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Knowledge or understanding of underwriting.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in making decisions.
- A keen eye for detail and a willingness to challenge processes to improve outcomes.
- Flexibility to adapt your approach to different situations and workloads.
- Strong organisational skills— the ability to prioritise and keep the customer at the heart of everything you do.
- A team player who’s ready to learn, grow and support others.
