Pro has an exciting opportunity for a Delegated Authority Analyst to join its Insurance Services team. The role is responsible for processing insurance documentation in line with client service levels, deliverables and deadlines.
This position offers the opportunity to further develop insurance knowledge while strengthening customer and client relationship skills.
Pro operates a hybrid working model. The role will be primarily home-based, with weekly travel to the Gloucester or Liverpool office, visits to the client’s London office when required, and occasional travel to other hubs.
Responsibilities- Manage delegated authority due diligence and pre-bind approval processes, including:
- Coordinating internal approvals from key stakeholders
- Reviewing cover holder due diligence information, policies and procedures
- Reviewing binding authority contracts
- Ensuring all material outstanding points are resolved before renewal
- Reviewing and approving DCOM records
- Recording, filing and monitoring post-bind subjectivities and actions
- Completing post-bind administration, including obtaining the final signed binder, performing exception checks and keeping files and logs up to date
- Manage third-party cover holder audits, including scheduling, scoping, reviewing audit reports, agreeing appropriate actions, liaising with underwriters, and tracking and following up on audit recommendations
- Review and approve mid-term changes
- Prepare exception reports and escalated issues where required
- Provide delegated authority specialist advice to underwriters and other business areas
- Strong technical skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel at an Intermediate level is desirable.
- Understanding of principles of insurance is essential.
- Good communication, negotiation and persuasion skills when dealing with Client situations.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within the insurance market is desirable.
- Good understanding of London market systems and procedures is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients.
- Maintain a conscientious, positive and enthusiastic approach to work, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues.
