Step into a vital role as a Claim Manager with Empire Life, focusing on disability management and claim resolution, either remotely or in a hybrid setup in Kingston, Toronto, or Montreal. As a Claim Manager within the Group Operations team, you will handle both weekly indemnity and long-term disability claims under moderate supervision. Your expertise in medical terminology and disability management will guide your assessments, ensuring claims are processed efficiently and in compliance with industry protocols.

• Investigate eligibility for initial and ongoing claim payments
• Manage active claim durations using best practices
• Conduct telephone interviews with claimants and employers
• Maintain proactive communication about claim status
• Implement case management plans for protected return to work

• Minimum 2 years in disability claim management
• Bilingual in French and English is a plus
• Knowledge of provincial employment legislation
• Strong organizational and customer relations skills
• Capable of analyzing and resolving claim-related issues
