Personal Lines Underwriter

Position: Personal Lines Underwriter Hybrid Role
Join Western Financial Group as a Personal Lines Underwriter in a hybrid work model from Victoria, BC. Assess risk information and support insurance products while working closely with brokers.

This full-time role requires a General Insurance Level 1 License and is suitable for those with underwriting experience. You will work on home, tenant, and rental insurance products, communicate policy changes, and aid in program development. Be an integral part of a supportive team that values diverse perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and assess risk for habitational insurance products

• Develop new insurance programs and maintain existing services

• Communicate with brokers on policy updates and cancellations

• Advise on coverage based on policy terms

• Support internal teams with policy interpretation

Requirements:

• General Insurance Level 1 License mandatory

• Underwriting experience is an asset

• Strong professional communication skills

• Adept in efficiently retrieving customer data

• Community involvement preferred
