Construction PI Claims Advocate

We are seeking a talented junior individual to join our Construction PI Claims team s role will be based in Birmingham, and is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

• Handle professional indemnity construction claims from initial notification to resolution
• Work and negotiate with insurers to achieve the most beneficial, cost‑effective settlement for clients
• Attend and contribute to claims review meetings and renewal meetings
• Develop relationships with insurers, clients and their respective representatives
• Develop relationships with internal colleagues such as placing and client managers

• Confident with client and stakeholder interaction
• Previous claims handling/insurance experience, with either an insurer, broker or law firm (preferred but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach
• Planning and organisational skills
• Quick to take on‑board new information which is technical in nature
• Analytically minded with the ability to resolve complex queries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to promote continuous improvement and respond positively to change

• Law degree or experience gained within a law firm
• Professional indemnity experience
• Previous claims or insurance experience
• Experience of face‑to‑face client meetings
