Programs Underwriter

Position: Programs Underwriter - Hybrid Role
Join Gore Mutual as a Programs Underwriter specializing in commercial P&C. This exciting hybrid position allows you to balance remote work with in-office collaboration while enhancing our broker partnerships.

As a key player in Gore Mutual’s underwriter team, you will focus on managing multiple broker relationships and optimizing the commercial programs portfolio. With at least three years of commercial underwriting expertise, you’ll ensure effective risk management for both new and existing clients.

Your role will also include mentoring junior underwriters and promoting best practices within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and underwrite risks for new and renewal business

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers

• Offer guidance and training to support personnel

• Manage time effectively to meet service level agreements

• Conduct bordereau entry for dedicated Programs and MGAs

Requirements:

• 3+ years in commercial underwriting

• Relevant university degree or equivalent

• CIP or FCIP program completion preferred

• Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office
