Liability & Casualty Claims Adjuster (Remote – Anywhere in Canada)
Compensation range: $47,100 – $65,400 annually
Job Overview:
Liability & Casualty Claims Adjuster who will independently adjust claims while ensuring business development opportunities are maximised. The role requires marketing and follow‑up of opportunities, handling file management, and day‑to‑day activities with strong organisational skills.
- Independently adjust liability, bodily injury, and casualty claims.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, marketing and follow‑up of prospective business.
- Manage file portfolio, prioritising conflicting priorities and ensuring timely completion.
- Utilise Claim Space software, Microsoft Office and associated tools.
- Maintain communication with policyholders, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, One Drive).
- Excellent written and oral communication, including technical writing, listening, interviewing, negotiating.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Relationship building, conflict resolution, and proactive customer service.
- Leadership abilities and sense of urgency.
- Commitment to ongoing education and learning.
- Minimum 3 years experience in casualty, bodily injury and liability positions.
- University degree or post‑secondary education related to insurance (nice to have).
- Adjuster’s license or completion of at least the first four CIP courses:
- C11:
Principles and Practice of Insurance - C12:
Insurance on Property - C13:
Insurance Against Liability—Part 1 - C14:
Automobile Insurance—Part 1 - Optional C110:
Essentials of Loss Adjusting (nice to have)
- C11:
- CIP designation or working towards designation.
- Equivalency of education and experience considered.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and legal document interpretation skills.
- Competitive compensation $56,300 – $78,100 CAD annually.
