Responsibilities

In this role you will be working alongside the Claims Inspector and also within a Team supporting the delivery of a first-class Claims Service for our Customers and Brokers. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will provide an excellent claims service to our customers both internal and external through the pro‑active management of claims from receipt up to the point of the liability determination.

This role is within a fast‑paced environment with a large portfolio of claims, ensuring the Customer journey is seamless throughout the lifecycle of claims. Activity required will be in line with governance guidelines and your authority limit.

  • Responsible for management of claims which are investigated by the Casualty Claims Inspectorate.
  • Compliance to statutory regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • To proactively handle all claims within optimum time scales.
  • Support the Claims Inspector where required in the investigation and evaluation of liability.
Qualifications

You don’t need to have worked in insurance or as a Claims Handler before, what you will need is excellent communication skills. Additionally, you will require good case management and workload management skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Provide accurate information to brokers, solicitors and other third parties
  • Apply common sense and pragmatism to achieve appropriate outcomes
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement
