Position: Sun Life Underwriting Consultant Remote
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join Sun Life as a Senior Underwriting Consultant, where remote work and expertise in underwriting converge. Utilize your analytical skills to innovate and enhance risk assessment methodologies.

As a key member of the underwriting team, you will work closely with various departments including IT and analytics to drive improvements in Straight Through Underwriting. This role calls for strong collaboration and analytical prowess, as you will also support the development and training of new models and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance rules in the Underwriting Rules Engine for risk management.

• Prepare and analyze reports to spot improvement chances.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for underwriting models.

• Lead protective value studies for model efficiency.

• Train underwriting operations on developed tools.

Requirements:

• At least five years of underwriting expertise.

• Experience with Tableau and advanced Excel.

• Interest in underwriting innovation and analytics.

• FALU designation preferred or in progress.

• Bilingual in French and English necessary for Quebec.
