Personal Lines Underwriter Hybrid Role

Join Ayr Farmers Mutual as a Personal Lines Underwriter in a hybrid work setup. Leverage your analytical skills and insurance knowledge to evaluate risk and foster relationships with Agents and Brokers.

As part of Ayr Farmers Mutual’s Underwriting Team, you will play a crucial role in protecting what matters to our Policyholders. This position requires at least two years of personal lines underwriting experience and offers a chance to directly impact our communities. Your responsibilities will include evaluating insurance requests, ensuring exceptional customer service, and providing insights for system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate personal lines insurance requests for risk and premiums

• Deliver exceptional customer service to Policyholders

• Foster relationships with Agents and Brokers for portfolio growth

• Gather policy data and consult on underwriting decisions

• Provide feedback on system enhancements for efficiency

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education strongly preferred

• At least 2 years of underwriting experience

• CIP designation or working towards it is a plus

• Intermediate knowledge of personal lines products

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
