Long Term Disability Claims Specialist Remote

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join Equitable as a Group Long Term Disability Claims Specialist, working from home. Deliver exceptional client service while managing complex disability claims to support recovery and independence.

In this permanent full-time role, you will focus on claims management and resolution for plan sponsors and members. A background in disability adjudication or a related health discipline is required to analyze claims effectively.

Your role will emphasize empathy, accuracy, and strong communication skills in a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze medical and employment information for LTD claims

• Manage claims with problem-solving and curiosity

• Calculate LTD benefits accurately throughout the claims process

• Identify cost-effective case management tools for recovery

• Communicate decisions clearly and compassionately to clients

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in STD or LTD claims management

• University degree or College diploma in a related field

• Thorough knowledge of insurance operations

• Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills

• Proficient in English;
French is an asset
