Join Manulife's talented team as an Intermediate Group Underwriting Analyst in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on risk analysis and provides vital support to our Account Executives with clear renewals and amendments.

Reporting to the Mid-Market Underwriting Director, your role entails managing a specific block of Group Benefits business, emphasizing precision in pricing and risk management. Your analytical skills will be instrumental in ensuring that our underwriting decisions are well-informed and benefit-driven. Collaboration with sales teams will also enhance customer relationships and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess plan designs and funding arrangements

• Analyze claims and premium data for renewals

• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly

• Utilize judgment for constructive negotiations

• Evaluate risks and opportunities in new business

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education

• Familiarity with Group Insurance products

• Experience in Group Benefits underwriting

• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
