We are currently looking for a highly motivated, service-oriented professional to fill the new position of Senior Actuarial Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of Pricing, Data & Analytics, you will provide a wide range of Actuarial and Analytics expertise to the organization.
What Will You Be Doing?- Work autonomously on challenging and strategic projects in areas such as rate making, data science, corporate planning and more.
- Use your expertise to lead large scale actuarial projects.
- Perform rate indications.
- Perform GLM analysis on Personal and Commercial Lines of business with a particular focus on Farm Insurance.
- Process, validate and analyze data to create critical reports that serve business analysis and operational needs.
- Drive innovation with projects at the frontier of actuarial science and data science.
- University Degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
- Certification in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred.
- 3 years or more of actuarial experience in the P&C sector.
- A thorough understanding of creating and maintaining actuarial price indications.
- Functional proficiency with SAS, SQL, Excel.
- Practical experience with Emblem.
- Good working knowledge of Guidewire.
Compensation: $87,000 – $117,000 (
NOTE:
this range includes salary and other non-discretionary compensation)
This position has the ability to be a hybrid position from a home office within Ontario. High-speed Internet and reliable connectivity are required.
