About the Role
Our client seeks an innovative and strategic Insurance Product Developer to conceptualize, design, and manage new insurance products from ideation to launch in Centurion. This role requires a blend of market analysis, product design, and regulatory compliance expertise to create competitive offerings in the dynamic insurance landscape. You will collaborate with various departments, including marketing, actuarial, legal, and IT, to ensure product viability and successful market penetration.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker with a passion for creating value for customers and driving business growth through intelligent product strategy and execution.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for new insurance products.
- Design and develop product specifications, features, pricing structures, and policy wordings.
- Collaborate with actuarial teams to ensure pricing adequacy and profitability projections.
- Ensure all product designs comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk guidelines.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing and sales teams for product launches.
- Monitor product performance post-launch and implement improvements or revisions as needed.
- Proven experience in insurance product development or management, ideally within the South African market.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles , market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate market needs into viable product concepts.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to articulate complex product features and benefits clearly and concisely.
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Actuarial Science, or a related field is preferred.
