Insurance Claims Handler - Motor Division

About the Role

Our client is seeking an efficient and empathetic Insurance Claims Handler for their busy Motor Division based in Soweto . This role involves managing motor vehicle insurance claims from initiation to closure, ensuring prompt and fair resolution for policyholders. You will assess claim validity, communicate effectively with clients and repairers, and process payments according to company guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of motor vehicle insurance principles and a commitment to providing excellent customer service within the Gauteng community.

• Receive, register, and assess new motor vehicle insurance claims.
• Verify policy coverage and determine the extent of liability.
• Communicate claim status, requirements, and decisions clearly to policyholders and third parties.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, repairers, and other relevant parties.
• Process payments for approved claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all claims activity in the claims management system.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance claims handling , specifically within motor claims.
• Good understanding of motor vehicle insurance policies, procedures, and terminology.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and prioritize effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
