We are looking for a Real Estate Underwriter to join our successful Real Estate team. If you're passionate about delivering great customer outcomes and are eager to develop your career within one of the world's leading insurance companies, we'd love to hear from you.
You’ll be joining a team of experienced underwriters who will support and develop you, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their expertise and progress their career.
In this role, you’ll work closely with some of our long-standing and most valued customers, so a strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills are essential.

What will you be doing?- Supporting the delivery of underwriting and financial objectives in line with business plans.
- Building your underwriting expertise and developing your market presence.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and Line of Business representatives to support referrals and business needs.
- Assessing opportunities to ensure they align with our underwriting appetite and business strategy.
- Evaluating and pricing risks accurately, supported by experienced underwriting colleagues.
- Making well-reasoned underwriting decisions and providing clear recommendations on pricing.
- Building strong relationships with brokers and customers through regular meetings and visits to understand their risks and insurance requirements.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers and delivering excellent service throughout the underwriting process.
- Previous Real Estate or Property underwriting experience would be advantageous, but we are also open to candidates looking to build a career in underwriting.
- Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in negotiating and influencing outcomes.
- The ability to assess and evaluate risk effectively.
