Commercial Underwriter

Commercial insurance is one of the few areas where good underwriters are genuinely fought over — and right now I'm working with a number of insurers and MGAs looking to add to their regional teams.

London, South East, South West, Midlands, North West, North East, Scotland and Wales - hybrid and home-based options available.

• Underwriting SME through to mid-market commercial risks
• Building and trading a broker panel in your patch, face to face and over the phone
• Making the call on new business and renewals within your authority
• Growing a profitable book, not just processing referrals

• Commercial underwriting experience (package, property, casualty, or a mixed portfolio)
• Confidence dealing with brokers directly and a genuine appetite for relationship building
• Cert CII / Dip CII welcome but not essential, attitude and trading instinct matter more

Very open salary - depending on experience level and location, plus bonus, car or allowance where applicable
