About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Commercial Lines Specialist to join their fully remote insurance team. This role is critical in managing and developing our commercial insurance portfolio, providing expert advice and tailored solutions to business clients. You will be responsible for understanding the unique risks faced by businesses and crafting comprehensive insurance strategies to protect their assets and operations.
Working remotely, you will connect with clients and internal teams, driving growth and ensuring superior service delivery, embracing a culture of autonomy and client-centricity in the vibrant Durban business landscape, albeit virtually.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, identifying opportunities for growth and retention.
- Assess the insurance needs of businesses and recommend appropriate commercial lines of coverage.
- Prepare detailed proposals and presentations for prospective and existing clients.
- Service existing accounts, addressing inquiries and making policy adjustments as needed.
- Stay current with commercial insurance products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate effectively with underwriting teams to secure competitive terms for clients.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial insurance, specifically in sales, account management, or underwriting.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development.
- Strong knowledge of various commercial insurance products (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
