About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Claims Adjuster to join their fully remote team, serving clients across South Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims efficiently and fairly, ensuring compliance with policy terms and regulatory requirements. You will manage a caseload of diverse claims, conduct thorough investigations using available digital tools, and negotiate settlements with policyholders and involved parties.

- Investigate insurance claims by gathering necessary information, including policy details, incident reports, and witness statements.
- Evaluate the extent of liability and damages, determining the validity and coverage of claims according to policy provisions.
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders and claimants, ensuring fair and timely resolution of claims.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activities and communications within the claims management system.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all claims handling processes.
- Collaborate remotely with internal teams, legal counsel, and external experts as needed to resolve complex claims.
- Proven experience as a Claims Adjuster or similar role in the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective remote interaction.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and other digital tools for remote work.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or professional insurance certification is advantageous.
