Position: Account Executive – Motor Trade (Inherited Portfolio) – Home Based
This is a brand-new role and a unique opportunity to inherit a very loyal client portfolio, primarily made up of motor trade combined risks, as well as a small number of general commercial clients, premiums ranging from circa £5k to £100k . Our client is a very well-respected independent insurance brokerage, long established with a low staff turnover and an enviably high level of client retention.

They have an excellent team at HQ in Yorkshire providing excellent broking, admin and claims support. Due to the consistent growth of the business, one of the senior members of the team is looking to pass a significant chunk of his client portfolio to a “safe pair of hands” Account Executive, who can continue his good work whilst looking for opportunities to grow the book going forward.

This is a long-established client portfolio, which will not be under attack. The ideal candidate will have previous experience or at least some exposure to motor trade combined insurances, having either specialised in this sector or having dealt with motor trade insurances as part of your wider commercial portfolio. This unique opportunity presents the chance to join a quality business, where you can make a significant impact and work towards being a senior figure over the longer term.

The MD has stated that there is an opportunity to obtain shares in the business as it grows, which will provide an excellent longer-term financial incentive. In terms of location, it would be preferred that you are able to get to their Yorkshire based office at least once every fortnight, however, you will be able to work remotely and will spend the majority of your time out and about meeting clients.

This role comes with an excellent basic salary, bonus on any new business growth, full benefits and potential to obtain shares in the business. The role can be full or part-time.
