Senior Claims Handler - Motor Division

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Claims Handler to manage complex motor insurance claims within their fully remote operations. This role requires a meticulous individual with a deep understanding of motor vehicle insurance policies and claims procedures. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of claims, ensuring efficient and fair resolution while providing excellent customer service. • Process and manage a portfolio of complex motor insurance claims from first notification to settlement.
• Conduct thorough investigations into claims, verifying policy coverage and assessing liability.
• Appoint and manage third-party service providers, such as assessors and repairers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, third parties, and legal representatives throughout the claims process.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and service level agreements.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escal… suspicious claims for further investigation.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling motor insurance claims, with a significant portion involving complex cases.
• In-depth knowledge of South African motor insurance legislation and claims best practices.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills, with the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a high workload remotely.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and digital communication tools.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
