We are working with a well established UK loss adjusting business, which has been operating for over 30 years and is continuing to develop its Property Division. They are looking for a Regional Manager to oversee their North Property team, managing and developing a team of approximately 7–9 Property Field Adjusters. The position is home-based, with occasional travel required to visit team members, attend meetings, carry out shadow visits and meet with clients where appropriate.

The role combines people management, technical oversight and regional performance, making it well suited to an experienced Property Loss Adjuster who is looking to move further into management while retaining a degree of hands on technical involvement. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the performance and development of the regional team, setting objectives, monitoring workloads and service levels, identifying training requirements and supporting the technical development of individual Adjusters.

Alongside the management responsibilities, the role remains technically focused. You will act as a referral point for more complex claims, undertake audits, quality checks and shadow visits, and provide technical guidance to the team. There will also be some direct involvement with live claims, with the opportunity to handle a small portfolio of High Net Worth and Major & Complex Loss claims, expected to be around five new claims per month.

This provides the opportunity to remain technically engaged rather than moving entirely away from claims. The Regional Manager will work closely with the Head of Property and wider Property leadership team, contributing to the ongoing development, performance and growth of the Property Division.

Role Responsibilities:

Managing and developing a regional team of approximately 7–9 Property Field Adjusters. Setting objectives, monitoring individual and team performance and managing workloads to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained. Providing regular coaching, mentoring and technical support to Adjusters. Identifying training and development requirements and supporting the ongoing technical development of team members. Supporting recruitment, onboarding and integration of new Adjusters into the regional team.

Managing performance issues where required and providing appropriate support and guidance. Acting as a technical referral point for complex Property claims and providing guidance on technical decisions. Carrying out technical audits, quality checks and shadow visits to ensure claims are being handled in line with required standards. Maintaining an understanding of live claims and current technical issues within the team.

Personally managing a small portfolio of HNW and Major & Complex Loss claims, expected to be around five new claims per month. Monitoring claims quality, productivity, service levels and overall regional performance. Working with senior management to identify opportunities to improve processes, performance and client service. Maintaining strong relationships with clients and supporting client meetings where required. Working collaboratively with the Head of Property and wider leadership team on the development of the Property Division.

Travelling occasionally across the North to visit team members, attend meetings, carry out shadow visits and meet clients.

Experience:

Minimum of five years' Loss Adjusting experience. Strong Property Loss Adjusting background with experience handling a range of Property claims. Good knowledge and experience of perils and All Risks policies. Previous experience handling High Net Worth claims and clients. Experience managing, mentoring, coaching or developing other Loss Adjusters. Strong technical understanding of Property claims, with the credibility to act as a referral point for more complex matters.

Experience of carrying out audits, quality checks or technical reviews would be advantageous. An appropriate insurance qualification is required. Chartered status would be advantageous, although candidates working towards Chartered status or with an agreed progression route towards qualification will also be considered.
