Claims Handler

Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join their remote operations team, serving clients across Randburg and beyond. This role is fundamental to customer satisfaction, ensuring that insurance claims are processed efficiently, accurately, and empathetically. You will manage the claims process from first notification to settlement, verifying policy coverage, investigating circumstances, and negotiating fair outcomes. • Receive, register, and acknowledge new insurance claims promptly and professionally.
• Verify policy details and coverage limits to determine the validity of claims.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, third parties, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
• Investigate claim circumstances, gather necessary documentation, and assess damages or losses.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and ensure timely payment of approved claims.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all claim activities in the system.

• Previous experience in a claims handling or customer service role within the insurance industry is essential.
• Familiarity with different types of insurance policies and claims procedures.
