Highly profitable mutual insurance company has retained The Carlisle Group seeking to hire a talented Senior Property Claims Examiner. The role, fully remote, would be ideal for a talented property adjuster who would enjoy the stability of working for a carrier where the average tenure of the staff is 26 years. The client is seeking an individual well versed in both commercial & personal lines property.

The client exclusively uses independent adjusters for all field work, so this role is 100% in-house.

Senior Property Claims Examiner

Responsible for independently reviewing and approving property/casualty claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Process property/casualty claims following the guidelines of the insurance policy.
  • Oversee and handle property claim matters of a very complex and technical nature using a high level of discretion and independent judgment.
  • Authority to handle large property claims, typically ranging from $250,000 to upwards of $1,000,000 in loss.
  • Review investigations, related forms and reports; analyze and evaluate liability, settlement values, coverage questions and subrogation possibilities; establish and adjust reserves.
  • Attend depositions, pre-trial conferences and trials as circumstances require.
  • Check and approve independent adjuster’s bills and other claim related expenses.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to agents, insureds, independent adjusters and attorneys.
  • Assist Claims Supervisor with training of property claims examiners.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Rotation of claims phone, including weekends and after hours.

Salary Range $95,000 – $105,000 + Bonus

“This compensation range reflects the company’s expectations for this position at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, alignment with role responsibilities, education, demonstrated skills, and performance during the interview process.”
