Responsible for supporting Personal Lines Account Managers with the timely and accurate completion of renewals and policy re-writes. Focuses on reviewing policies requiring action, completing renewal quoting and remarketing, managing re-writes, and identifying appropriate placement options for standard, non-standard and hard-to-place risks. The Specialist works collaboratively with Account Managers, insurers and underwriting resources to ensure clients are provided with appropriate coverage and market options while maintaining established service standards.

Reports to the Branch Manager and works closely with the Personal Lines Service Manager, Account Managers, Renewal & Administration team, and Personal Lines Leadership to support the timely and effective completion of renewals and re-writes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review renewal and download reports to identify policies requiring quoting, remarketing, re-writing or additional action.
  • Review renewal coverage and identify potential coverage gaps, limit changes or opportunities for enhanced coverage & advise clients by email/letter on behalf of Account Manager.
  • Complete renewal quoting and prepare available market and coverage options for Account Managers.
  • Manage assigned policy re-writes from initial review through completion, including quoting, applications, reports, Docusign, portals, billing and BMS data entry.
  • Remarket policies where required due to insurer appetite, underwriting requirements, pricing, coverage needs or other renewal considerations.
  • Support the placement and re-write of non-standard and hard-to-place risks, working with insurer partners, MGAs and underwriting resources as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all activity, client interactions, coverage discussions and transactions within the broker management system.
  • Maintain appropriate follow-up and abeyance activity to ensure renewals and re-writes are completed within established timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Managers to communicate renewal and re-write options and facilitate a seamless transition back to the Account Manager following completion.
  • Provide technical and market support to Account Managers on complex renewal and re-write situations.
  • Provide backup support for renewal and re-write activities based on team and business needs.
  • Adhere to company procedures, insurer underwriting requirements, delegated authority guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and other renewal and re-write related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • RIBO license considered an asset, but not required.
  • Experience in Personal Lines administration, service, renewal, re-write, or processing considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high volume of time-sensitive work.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate effectively with Account Managers, insurers, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EPIC is considered an asset.

Salary Range

From $50,000 per annum
