This critical role involves evaluating and assessing the risks associated with insurance applications, determining coverage terms, and setting appropriate premium rates. You will play a key part in the company's growth by ensuring profitable underwriting decisions, maintaining portfolio quality, and upholding our client's reputation for accuracy and fairness.

- Analyze insurance applications to evaluate risks, assess eligibility, and determine policy terms and conditions.
- Utilize underwriting guidelines, financial data, and market intelligence to make sound underwriting decisions.
- Set appropriate premium rates to ensure profitability and competitive positioning.
- Communicate with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
- Monitor the performance of the underwriting portfolio and identify potential trends or areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting , preferably with a focus on specific lines of business.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, financial analysis, and insurance principles.
- Excellent decision-making abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with underwriting software and data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
- Relevant industry certifications or a degree in finance, business, or a related field is highly desirable.
