Your new role

• Investigate, lead and resolve P&I claims in a professional and efficient manner
• Identify and investigate coverage issues
• Manage third parties, including P&I correspondents, surveyors, and lawyers
• Provide advice and mentorship to other members of the claims team
• Maintain accurate and consistent claim reserves in accordance with the QBE claims reserving philosophy
• Collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, and assureds
• Manage claims on the claims management system (CALM)
• Maintain the document filing system (ODM)

About you

• International Group P&I Club or a fixed premium P&I provider background
• P&I experience of offshore claims, tugboat/towage, specialist operations, and contract review work are particularly desirable
• Understanding of class specific P&I claims knowledge, leading on the handling of complex matters
• Strong organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make balanced and impartial judgements
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy case load.
• Current knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements
• Effective presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and confidently to clients, brokers and internal stakeholders
• Able to build and maintain positive working Relationships
• Able to produce MI and detailed reports at various levels
