- Develop, implement, and validate actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and support business decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and actuarial reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide actuarial insights and support product development.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Progress towards or completion of actuarial exams (e.g., via Actuarial Society of South Africa).
- Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, AXIS) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively presenting complex findings.
