The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $90,000- $110,000.Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

The Senior Underwriter / Field Underwriter, Commercial Mid-Market is responsible for building a profitable portfolio in Northern Alberta through strong underwriting, trusted broker partnerships, and proactive business development.

Working with a high degree of autonomy and within defined underwriting authority, this role assesses, prices, negotiates, and structures complex commercial risks while identifying opportunities to grow new and existing broker relationships. It is well suited to an experienced Senior Underwriter who is ready to broaden their market presence and develop into a field underwriting role.

The successful candidate will receive support and coaching to strengthen territory management, broker engagement, and business development capabilities while continuing to apply sound underwriting judgment and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with assigned brokers, serving as a responsive underwriting partner and providing clear, practical guidance.
• Develop a strong understanding of the Northern Alberta market and work with broker partners to identify new business opportunities that align with appetite and portfolio strategy.
