Company Description
The New Jersey Schools Insurance Group (NJSIG) is a public entity self-insurance pool that provides insurance coverage and risk management services to school districts across New Jersey. With approximately four hundred boards of education and charter school districts as members, NJSIG offers a cost-effective way to obtain coverage for workers’ compensation, liability, property, and a wide range of specialized risks. Member districts pool their premiums into a common fund, gaining collective protection and benefits that are difficult to secure individually.
NJSIG delivers claims administration, underwriting, and loss control services, guided by a mission to be the premier insurance and risk management provider for New Jersey school districts. The organization is overseen by a board of trustees from member districts and remains focused on keeping more dollars where they belong: in the classroom.
