• Underwrite Marine and Cargo insurance risks, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
• Analyze complex risk exposures related to vessel operations, cargo types, transit routes, and related liabilities.
• Develop accurate pricing and terms for Marine and Cargo insurance policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and claims teams.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on Marine and Cargo insurance matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic adjustments.
• Collaborate with the claims department on loss analysis and prevention strategies.
• Stay abreast of international maritime law, trade practices, and insurance market developments.
• Participate in the development of new Marine and Cargo insurance products and services.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in underwriting, with a significant specialization in Marine and Cargo insurance.
• Proven expertise in assessing and pricing complex maritime risks.
• Strong understanding of international trade, shipping operations, and relevant legal frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
